New for 2010 - Plymouth Bike Night on Plymouth Hoe, the first Thursday of the month. It started on Thursday 1st April and raises money in support of Help For Heroes. Click the image for more information.
Paignton Bike Nights will be running weekly as usual in 2010 starting on Wednesday 2nd June. Click here for more information.
One of the country's best and friendliest open-air bike shows, The Paignton Bike Show runs across the early spring bank holiday weekend. GT Motorcycles is one of the main sponsors of the show which donates proceeds local charities. GT attends with a big display of bikes around the show truck and a sale of bargain-priced clothing in the marquee. We were joined in 2010 by the Ducati Roadshow which offered show-goers the chance to ride one of Italy's finest.
"Explore The Outdoors" 2010 was at the Plymouth Pavilions on March 13th and 14th. Pictured below, clockwise from top left: (1) At the 2009 show star of TV, films and author Charlie Boorman who tried a GT Motorcycles Triumph Tiger for the cameras. (2) Charlie is given a warm welcome to the exhibition by Mike Grainger. (3) At the 2010 show Mike with Radio Plymouth's Alison Anderson and Joanne Bradley. (4) Mike and the remarkable "Wolfman" Sean Ellis.
On Sunday July 6th 2008 GT Motorcycles celebrated thirty years in business with an Open Day and Party at Plymouth. There was live entertainment, food, guests, competitions and some very special 30th birthday bargains on motorcycles and clothing. We hope you didn't miss it.
Pictured below with Mike are, from the left, racers Johnny Rae, Steve Brogan and Bruce Wilson, they loved our Face Painter. Johnny went on to achieve his first World Supersport win at Brno and eventually finished second in World Supersport 2008. Johnny now rides a Ten Kate Honda CBR1000RR in World Superbikes.
The delighted winner of The Herald / GT Motorcycles Win-A-Bike competition, Peter Bailey, recieves his GSF650 Bandit from The Herald editor Bill Martin and GT's Andy Widdecombe.
South West Motorcycle Show
GT Motorcycles is one of the major exhibitors at the South West Motorcycle Show at Westpoint Arena over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Plymouth Mega-Ride
GT Motorcycles is a main sponsor of the Plymouth Mega-Ride which for 2010 was on Sunday June 13th. We had a great day out, raising much-needed money for local charities.
The last Open Weekend at the old Plymouth showroom celebrating 25 years as a Kawasaki dealership was a great success with it's massive sale of bikes and clothing, live band, celebrity guests, and refreshments. A fantastic day was had by all giving our old home a good send-off.
